David Walliams parted ways with book publisher.

The author

Acclaimed children's author and entertainer David Walliams is no longer with his publisher HarperCollins UK, the company has said.

A representative for the firm commented: "Following a thorough review, and under the leadership of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing additional books by David Walliams."

It has been reported that the conclusion was taken subsequent to an investigation into reports of conduct deemed unsuitable directed at young women.

The publisher has not elaborated on the reasons for its decision, adding: "It is not our policy to discuss private personnel issues."

An Illustrious Writing Journey

Walliams stands as a most best-selling authors for kids, boasting over more than 60 million copies internationally in 55 languages.

His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins back in 2008.

A number of his works, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as small-screen adaptations.

He has published over four dozen titles in total, encompassing a Christmas book titled *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins this past October.

From Screen to Page

He first rose to fame on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He was made an OBE in 2017 honoring his contributions to the charitable sector and arts community.

This move occurs subsequent to the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive last fall.
